What is it?

Inositol powder contains 4,000 mg (4 gm) per rounded teaspoonful of pure inositol.

Inositol is, unofficially, a B vitamin that is found in cell membranes (phosphatidylinositol) where it functions closely with choline.

Inositol is a lipotropic. It promotes the export of fat from the liver.

Inositol is required for the proper function of several brain neurotransmitters.

Inositol may improve nerve conduction velocities in diabetics with peripheral neuropathy.

Inositol works together with other methyl donors such as TMG or SAMe.

Cautions

Usually none. Pregnant women should use caution as large doses may initiate uterine contractions.

Suggested Use

Doses range from 1/8 tsp daily up to 3/4 tsp 4 times daily depending upon the condition.
