Description

What is it?

Gugulipid is the oleoresin of the Indian herb Commiphora mukul or gum guggul. Each capsule contains 340 mg of standardized, dried, ethyl acetate extract. Inert ingredients are rice flour, and magnesium stearate.

Gugulipid was used in Ayurvedic medicine for at least 2,500 years. It was used to treat obesity, diarrhea, arthritis, urinary problems and even atherosclerosis.

Cautions

Guggulipid has almost no side effects. Some people may get mild abdominal discomfort with long-term use. It should be used with caution in people with liver disease, diarrhea or inflammatory bowel disease.
