Description

What is it?

Melatonin is a hormone excreted by the pineal gland at the base of the brain.

Each capsule contains Melatonin 10 mg. Inert ingredients include microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide.

Melatonin has many beneficial functions and new discoveries are made daily about its amazing properties. It helps regulate sleep. It is an immunostimulant. It is a powerful antioxidant.

Cautions

Melatonin is nontoxic even in doses hundreds of times the therapeutic dose. In Europe, very high doses are used as a contraceptive. There is some concern about taking Melatonin if you have an immune system cancer or autoimmune disease.

Also, beta-blocker drugs such as Inderal™, Tenormin™, Viskin™, Normodyne™ and hordes of others, stop Melatonin production. Patients taking these medications should also supplement Melatonin to avoid insomnia.

Those with nocturnal asthma should probably avoid Melatonin until more is known.

Suggested Use

Take Oncotonin 10 mg up to 40 mg at bedtime under the supervision of a physician.
