Many patients have allergies, extreme sensitivities to air and food-borne substances and chronic yeast/fungus throughout their systems. Often these patients cannot tolerate much of anything; even patients that seem relatively healthy can develop reactions. Our practitioners tell us they must start such patients off with as little as 1/4 capsule of Primal Defense because it is "too strong." These patients may never be able to increase beyond 3 to 5 capsules; they are the very ones who need to be taking the  top saturation dosage. Sometimes the multiple food complexes in Perfect Food can stimulate what seems like a classic autoimmune or allergic response.

In order to boost the white cell count, reduce the autoimmune response and cut down the production of the inflammatory factors, start the patient on RevivAll before introducing Primal Defense and Perfect Food. Dr. Pagel, the doctor who did most of the early research on PhytoSterols/Sterolins in South Africa, tells us the saturation level for the plant lipids (fats) is 1,600 mgs of whole food sprouts. He recommends this amount be maintained for 2 to 3 months before going down to the recommended maintenance level of 400 to 600 mg. daily. Since each RevivAll capsule has 200 mg. of the sprout complex, the total number of capsules needed for the saturation level would be 8. The number of Primal Defense capsules needed to reach the saturation level would be 20 (80 mg per capsule.)

  1. Start the patient out on between 4 to 8 capsules of RevivAll. This should be well tolerated by the majority of patients. Make sure the patient does not eat any animal fats (including butter, yogurt, etc.) within 45 minutes before or after ingesting the plant lipids. Four caps of RevivAll = 800 mg. The goal is to get up to 1,600 mgs. of PhytoSterols/Sterolins daily.

  2. Start adding the Primal Defense gradually, starting out with one capsule. Increase to 4-6 capsules as quickly as tolerated, adding one capsule every 3 to 10 days. Keep in mind that 3 capsules of Primal Defense contain 240 mgs. of the PhytoSterols/Sterolins and one capsule of RevivAll contains 200 mg. If the patient is taking 8 capsules of RevivAll (the maximum level,) reduce RevivAll by one capsule for every 3 capsules of Primal Defense added to keep the 1,600 mg balance. Maintain the PhytoSterols/Sterolins combination of Primal Defense and RevivAll at approximately 1,600 mg for 3 months.

  3. Add 1/4 adult serving (about 1 or 2 level tablespoonfuls) of Perfect Food mixed with water or juice. (Adult serving is 2 level tblsp)

  4. Keep increasing the level of Primal Defense capsules to the top-end saturation. For these environmentally ill patients, we would recommend 20 per day. Remember to adjust the PhytoSterol/Sterolins level between Primal Defense and RevivAll.

  5. Keep gradually adding the Perfect Food powder until the minimum adult serving of 2 level tablespoonfuls is reached. Many people double that amount, especially if malnourished. Patient can take 1/2 serving in the morning and 1/2 serving at night if desired.

  6. Once the patient is taking 20 capsules of Primal Defense there is theoretically no need to supplement with RevivAll.

  7. Stay at the 20 capsule level (or desired level) for about 3 months and then gradually reduce down. How fast and how far will depend on the patient. For a healthy individual, the recommended daily maintenance of both HSO and PhytoSterols/Sterolins can be satisfied with 5 Primal Defense. Many people with histories of illness or live in toxic environments want to take more. If the patient wants to take maintenance of HSO but more of the PhytoSterols/Sterolins, supplement with one or more capsules of RevivAll.

  8. Children: The Primal Defense rule of thumb is one capsule for every 30 lbs maintenance level. The therapeutic level is up to 4 times that amount.
