WHAT IS IT?

Udo's Choice Perfected Oil Blend is a specially balanced blend of natural unrefined oils and nutritional co-factors. It contains oils from organic Flax, sunflower, sesame seed, evening primrose (12.6 mg GLA/tbl, 0.9 mg/capsule,) Soy lecithin (GMO- free) and the oil and bran of rice germ and oat germ. It also contains Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) and Rosemary extract, and Tocotrienol.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

The importance of essential fatty acids (EFA's)has been discussed elsewhere (Basics of Health, Perilla Oil, Flax Lignan Gold.) Udo's Choice is, in fact, another choice. Most people are deficient in Omega-3 oils but not Omega-6's so flax seed oil or Perilla Oil is a fine choice until the deficiency is overcome.

Other people do not get enough of either EFA or they get them in the wrong ratios. People who don't get enough Omega-6 may develop a deficiency by taking flax seed oil. Other people cannot, for various reasons, convert the Alpha Linolenic Acids of Omega-3 into EPA or DHA. Likewise, they have trouble converting Linoleic acid of Omega-6 into GLA (gamma linoleic acid) found in Borage Oil, for example. For such people, Udo's Choice is the better choice.

Udo's Choice contains a blend of every beneficial oil, fat and fatty acid, in the right amounts and the right ratios. It is a complete, perfectly made source of EFA's.

Medium Chain Triglycerides are a unique kind of fat that cannot be stored as fat in the body but goes straight to the liver to be burned as energy.

CAUTIONS

The cloudy layer in the oil is unique to the oil and represents beneficial minor fractions. Shake gently to disperse the sediment. Do not use for cooking. Do not heat or fry. Keep the oil refrigerated at all times. It may be frozen for future use.

DOSE

Oil: Take 1 tablespoonful twice daily with meals. It may be taken alone (slightly nutty flavor) or mixed with low-fat cottage cheese, or as a salad oil.
