What is it?
Pepogest is enteric coated capsules containing peppermint oil. Each sofgel capsule contains:
Peppermint Oil 0.2ml
Soybean Oil 0.1ml
Inert ingredients include gelatin, glycerin, water, aqueous coating solution.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Peppermint has long been used in herbal medicine as a carminative, i.e. it stops intestinal cramping. It also increased the flow of bile from the gall bladder.
Some studies have shown that enteric coated peppermint oil provides symptomatic relief in Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS.)
Peppermint has the following properties:
1. It is a disinfectant which prevents the fermentation of improperly digested food in the stomach and intestines. This helps prevent intestinal gas and pain.
2. It alleviates nausea and vomiting.
3. Ir promotes the normal function of the liver and gall bladder including the production of bile and its release by the gallbladder. This is especially important for detoxification.
4. It is anti-spasmodic. It relieves colon spasms common in IBS.
5. It is strongly active against Candida yeast infections. It is at least 100 times more active than caprylic acid.
CAUTIONS
Peppermint may cause a slight burning sensation around the anus of some people. Discontinue use if heartburn occurs.

DOSE
Take one capsule 3 times daily with water, one hour before meals. Do not exceed 6 capsules per day.
