What is it?

Narinase contains Naringin 300 mg per capsule, the bioflavonoid found in grapefruit that gives it its taste and makes it bitter. It also contains Bromelain (2000 m.c.u/gm) 100 mg to aid its absorption in the body.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

Naringin is an aldose reductase inhibitor.

CAUTIONS

See the Disclaimer.

Naringin is thought to be the component of grapefruit that interferes with the cytochrome P450 pathway in the liver. This pathway is the primary Phase I detoxifier in the liver.  It has been recently discovered that grapefruit changes the dose of many kinds of drugs by affecting their metabolism. Before taking this product ask your pharmacist if any of the prescription or other drugs you take are affected by grapefruit. If so, do not use this product.

DOSE

Take 1 capsules twice daily or as directed by a health professional.

NHC sells 60 capsule bottles of Narinase 300 mg for $12.50. The suggested retail price is $13.90.
