What is it?

Creatine monohydrate is a combination of 3 amino acids: arginine, glycine, and methionine. It is one of the essential factors in muscle contraction.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

Creatine increases the body's ability to produce more lean muscle tissue. It helps the performance of athletes performing exercises that require quick strength such as weight lifters. Creatine increases endurance and diminishes muscle fatigue. It also is vital in the creation of ATP, the "energy currency" of the body which powers muscular contractions.

CAUTIONS

Creatine is nontoxic. Because Creatine hydrates cells it should be taken with a lot of water. The ideal combination is a glass of water in which Microhydrin has been dissolved. Microhydrin increases the wetness of water (lowers surface tension) to that of cellular fluid and allows its entry into cells much more easily and completely. Purity Water would do much the same thing.

The only form of Creatine that has undergone testing is the monohydrate form. Other forms are also sold. A certain percentage of people do not respond to creatine.

See Disclaimer.

DOSE

Take 5 grams 4 times daily for 7 days to "load" the system. Then take 5 grams per day to maintain the tissue levels. This can also be accomplished over a longer period of time by taking 3 grams per day for 4 weeks.

Studies show that Creatine is synergistic with an insulin provoking substance such as simple sugar (glucose.) Much greater effects are attained by taking them together. Fruit juice would probably suffice.

NHC  sells bottles of 144 chewable tablets (grape or orange flavor) called Creatine Chews containing Creapure™  brand Creatine monohydrate (5 grams per 4 tablets) for $13.50. The suggested retail is $17.95.
