WHAT IS IT?
Immunocal contains 9 grams of protein. It is a milk protein (whey) isolate.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Glutathione is one of the most important substances in the body. It is generally thought that taking glutathione orally is ineffective as the body breaks it down, so precursors (building blocks) such as NAC, Milk Thistle, Vitamin C or Alpha Lipoic Acid are used instead. There is by all accounts a more effective product, though. It is Immunocal, a product actually listed in the Physicians Desk Reference (PDR.) It has had 23 clinical studies proving its effectiveness and has 7 pharmaceutical "method-of-use" patents. It takes 500 liters of fresh, raw, cow's milk to make a kilogram of Immunocal.
Glutathione is comprised of three amino acids which the body assembles primarily intracellularly into glutathione. These are glutamate, glycine and cysteine. The first two are quite common in the average diet but cysteine is somewhat rare and is therefore the limiting factor in having enough glutathione. Cysteine by itself is not the ideal answer as it is spontaneously catabolized in the gut and blood. If combined into two molecules it becomes cystine which is stable and promptly reduced to two cysteine molecules in the cell. This product is the ideal solution to that problem and may be thought of as a sort of cystine delivery system.
CAUTIONS
Gastrointestinal bloating and cramps can occur if not sufficiently hydrated. Severe detox reactions can cause a rash which abates when the product is discontinued. It should be avoided if allergic to milk proteins.

DOSE
Use one pouch daily. Mix and shake gently with 4 to 6 ounces of your favorite beverage.
