WHAT IS IT?

Vanadyl sulfate is a salt of the ultra-trace element, Vanadium. Each tablet contains 7.5 mg of Vanadyl sulfate equal to 1.5 mg of elemental Vanadium.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

It is not known whether Vanadium is an essential mineral for the human body. It may play a role in building bones and teeth. If so, the estimated daily requirement is probably around 10 mcg. It may have other uses in higher doses.

CAUTIONS

Vanadyl sulfate has been shown to be nontoxic in doses up to 60 mg per day. Some studies have shown safety at up to 120 mg per day but the validity of this may be doubtful.

Vanadyl sulfate should be taken after a carbohydrate meal since it can cause hypoglycemia and dizziness without adequate sugar in the blood.

DOSE

See the information above. One recommendation for body builders is 45 mg per day for 3 and a half weeks then off for 10 to 12 weeks, per cycle.
