Vacimyr is a standardized 25% anthocyanoside extract of the European bilberry, Vaccinium myrtillus, 80 mg per capsule.
WHAT DOES IT DO? Bilberry is a close cousin of the American blueberry, sometimes called gooseberry. Unlike the American blueberry, the active antioxidants, called anthocyanosides, are found throughout the fruit. In the American fruit it is found exclusively in the skin. These antioxidants are responsible for the blue color of the fruit, and like most fruit and vegetable pigments, anthocyanosides have significant health preserving properties.
CAUTIONS See the Disclaimer. None. If you can eat blueberries you can take bilberry extract.
DOSE Take from 1 to 6 capsules daily. One capsule 3 times daily is an often recommended dose.
NHC sells
bottles of 45 capsules of Vacimyr 80 mg for $14.31. The
suggested retail price is $15.90.
