WHAT IS IT? L-Threonine is an amino acid typically found in the heart, skeletal muscle and the nervous system. Do not confuse it with L-Theanine from green tea, a different substance.
WHAT DOES IT DO? This amino acid is important in the formation of collagen and elastin. In combination with L-Aspartic Acid and L-Methionine it supports liver function through its lipotropic action (removes fats.) It also helps control seizures. L-Threonine is also a precursor (building block) of glycine synthesis in the spinal cord and is essential for a healthy nervous system.
Note: If you take the drug Baclofen do not suddenly discontinue it or (though rare) seizures or hallucinations may occur. If you want to try L-Threonine, talk to your doctor first. See Disclaimer.
DOSE Take 2 capsules twice daily on an empty stomach. The manufacturer prohibits us from discounting this product. NHC sells 60 capsule bottles of L-Threonine 500 mg for $18.10. The suggested retail price is $18.10.
