d-Mannose

Mannose is d-mannose, a simple sugar. It comes in powder (50 or 100 gm) or capsule form (420 mg).

DOSE


The usual dose for powder is 1/2 teaspoonful (2 1/2 grams) stirred into water every 2 to 4 hours. If the infection is not substantially better within 24 hours, it is probably not being caused by E.coli.

The suggested dose of capsules is:

Day 1: Take 3 capsules with 6 oz of pure water every 2 hours from 8AM to 8PM (21 capsules.)

Day 2: Take 3 capsules every 3 hours as above (15 capsules.)

Day 3: Take 3 capsules every 4 hours as above (12 capsules.)

Maintenance: Take 3 capsules daily as above.
