Lutein

WHAT IS IT?


Lutein is an antioxidant carotenoid (yellow pigment) found in plants as is Zeaxanthin. Each capsule contains Lutein 6 mg and Zeaxanthin 300 mcg. Other ingredients are safflower oil, glycerin, water, gelatin capsule.

WHAT DOES IT DO?


Lutein is the primary carotenoid found in the central part of the retina called the macula. It and Zeaxanthin exist there primarily to protect the retina of the eye from sunlight.
