Kava extract
by Vital Nutrients
WHAT IS IT?
Kava-Kava is an extract from an herb, Piper methysticum, a member of the pepper family commonly found in many Pacific Ocean islands. The root is used in making the extract. Each capsule of Kava Extract contains 250 mg of root extract containing 30% kava lactones.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Among Pacific islanders who had no alcohol for centuries before white people arrived, a drink made from this herb is used much as alcohol is used at western cocktail parties or special occasions. It relaxes, mellows and encourages socializing without the bad effects of alcohol. It also is noted for initiating a state of contentment, of greater well-being and enhanced mental acuity, memory and sensory perception. It is also an analgesic used to treat pain.
