WHAT IS IT? Cordyceps (Cordyceps sinensis) is a fungus (mushroom) from China and particularly Tibet. In nature it is a parasite that attacks caterpillars and other bugs, leisurely devouring its host. After some time the fruiting body breaks through the victim's head to disperse its spores. Because the natural mushroom is quite rare and expensive it was formerly reserved for the Chinese Emperor. Commercial Cordyceps is now grown on soy. Each tablet contains Cordyceps 500mg. Inert ingredients include maltodextrin, starch, silica, cellulose and vegetable Magnesium stearate.
WHAT DOES IT DO? Cordyceps is most famous as the energy and endurance mushroom. Cordyceps is also an ingredient in Mycoceutics and RM-10.
No side-effects have been noted other than sensitivity to it. Those taking blood thinners may find an enhanced effect and should consult their doctor. See Disclaimer.
DOSE Take 2 to 6 tablets daily with meals.
NHC sells 90 tablet bottles of Cordyceps - MRL for $26.96. The suggested retail price is $29.95.
