WHAT DOES IT DO?
According to the manufacturer:
"Ultra Natural Prostate Formula contains the most scientifically substantiated nutrients to help protect the prostate gland and maintain its healthy function.
The latest ingredients are standardized lignans from flax and Norway spruce trees that provide the beneficial metabolite enterolactone. Published studies have demonstrated antiestrogen and anti-DHT effects of enterolactones that are of particular importance to the prostate gland.
The eight other active ingredients in Ultra Natural Prostate Formula are:
5-Loxin® is a standardized extract of the boswellia plant. Published studies show that normal aging and poor diet causes levels of a dangerous enzyme (5-lipoxygenase) to increase, which can induce undesirable effects in prostate cells. 5-Loxin® has been shown to suppress 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) and other pro-inflammatory factors that are deleterious to cells throughout the body, including the prostate gland.
Saw palmetto extract to interfere with DHT activity in the prostate, inhibit the alpha-adrenergic receptor (to support normal urinary flow), and impede inflammatory actions in the prostate gland.
Nettle root extract (Urtica dioica) to help protect prostate cells from the excess estrogen levels so frequently seen in aging men.
Pygeum to enhance healthy prostaglandin function, which helps keep the prostate gland placid and promotes prostate comfort.
Beta-sitosterol to provide an even greater concentration of the most active constituent in pygeum.
Cernitin® to relax smooth muscle tone of the urethra, counteract DHT, and inhibit inflammatory reactions.
Boron to slow elevation of PSA and protect against protein-degrading enzymes in the prostate gland.
Lycopene to help maintain healthy gene function
in prostate cells."
