WHAT IS IT? Tri-Magnesium consists of the element Magnesium in a 300 mg tablet. The magnesium is in the form of 6 salts: oxide, citrate, malate, fumarate, succinate, and glutarate. Specifically: Magnesium citrate/ malate 100 mg Inert ingredients include microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, and calcium sulfate.
WHAT DOES IT DO? Magnesium is an essential and much neglected mineral. It is second only to Potassium in terms of concentration within the body's cells. It is needed for bone, protein and fatty acid formation, making new cells, activating B vitamins, relaxing muscles, clotting blood, forming ATP (the body's energy currency,) and enabling insulin secretion and function.
CAUTIONS People with kidney disease or severe heart disease should consult a physician before taking Magnesium. Higher doses of Magnesium can cause diarrhea. Like most vitamins and minerals, Magnesium works with other nutrients. B6 is its partner and increases cellular levels while excess Calcium blocks its absorption. Many drugs also adversely affect Magnesium levels. In general, it should be taken with other nutrients in one of our multi-nutrient formulas. This product was designed for those with special needs, especially related to fatigue or energy issues. See Disclaimer.
DOSE Take one tablet daily or as directed by a health professional.
NHC sells 90 tablet bottles of Tri-Magnesium 300 mg for $16.38. The suggested retail price is $18.20.
