Salacia Reticulata

by Health Freedom Nutrition

WHAT IS IT?

Each capsule of Salacia Reticulata contains Salacia reticulata extract (root) (Standardized to 20% saponins) 300 mg. Other ingredients are rice flour and gelatin capsule.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

According to the manufacturer:

"Salacia reticulata, a plant grown in India, helps support healthy blood sugar, insulin and blood lipids levels with it's potent antioxidant properties, triglyceride and LDL cholesterol-lowering ability which aids in weight loss! This Ayurvedic herb contains mangiferin, a polyphenol, that enhances the body's sensitivity to insulin, and contains inhibitors of sugar digestion and absorption.

Current studies have also shown the Saponins positive effects on lowering LDL cholesterol and triglycerides. Additionally, it has been used as a supplementary food in Japan to help protect against diabetes and obesity.

Prescribed diabetes treatments such as insulin may produce side effects or low blood sugar, but there are no known negative side effects associated with Salacia. It does produce the positive effects of lowering trigyceride and LDL cholesterol, which aids in weight loss!"
