Pure L-Arginine Hcl

by Montiff

WHAT IS IT?

Pure L-Arginine Hcl is an amino acid. It comes in 500 mg capsules. Inert ingredients are microcystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and gelatin. It also comes in powder. 1/2 tsp is about 2 grams (2000 mg.)

WHAT DOES IT DO?

This is an amino acid found in many foods such as meat, dairy products, fish, poultry, etc. It is involved in cell division, wound healing, removal of ammonia from the body, immunity to illness, and the secretion of important hormones. It is used by the body to make nitric oxide which relaxes blood vessels, and it can cause the release of human growth hormone from the pituitary gland.

CAUTIONS

Very large doses (greater than 3 grams per day) may cause minor GI upset. This may be because it stimulates stomach acid. Those with ulcers should exercise caution. It also may alter potassium levels at high doses which may be of concern to those taking drugs which alter potassium such as diuretics or ACE inhibitors. Those with severe kidney or liver disease, as well as pregnant or nursing women should consult their doctors.

See Disclaimer.

Take from 2 gm to 15 gm per day depending upon the need.
