WHAT DOES IT DO?
Worms might actually be good for you. At least some might. A theory has surfaced that since our ancestors right up to about the 1960's or later, lived with various species of worms in their intestines, that our body's have formed a sort of relationship with some of them. It turns out that studies have shown that adding the eggs to some species of worms to the intestines, when hatched and grown, modulate the immune system away from autoimmune conditions, but better for the worm and you.
In Viet Nam, Korea and other Asian countries, earthworms are valuable medicine. Koreans have a bowl of earthworm soup before bedtime. In Viet Nam the earthworm is a major ingredient in a formula amazingly called, "Miracle Medicine that can Save Lives in 60 minutes."
This formula, also called Lumbricus tonic, tonifies the sympathetic and parasympathetic functions of the central nervous system, thereby supporting digestive function in the stomach and the gastrointestinal tract. It benefits the circulation of Ch'i in the triple warmer and is important for the health of the internal organs. It is calming to the nervous system and is considered a heart tonic, lung tonic and plays a role in blood sugar regulation.
Acorus Gramineus - Used traditionally as a digestive tonic supporting the circulation of digestive juices, for ringing in the ears, excess phlegm, abdominal bloating, achiness and poor memory.
