WHAT IS IT?

Culturelle with Lactobacillus GG is a patented probiotic that contains a special strain of Lactobacillus called Lactobacillus caseii sp rhamnosus. Each capsule contains 40 mg of Lactobacillus GG or a minimum of 20 billion live/active bacteria at time of manufacture for maximum potency.

 

WHAT DOES IT DO?

Although Lactobacillus acidophilus is more famous, this strain was the result of a screening process to find a strain of Lactobacillus that has several advantages. 

  • It survives stomach acid.

  • It adheres to and colonizes the intestinal tract.

  • It is stable in bile.

  • It exhibits hardy growth.

  • It produces lactic acid.

  • Helpful with diarrhea caused by antibiotics, rotavirus and Clostridia dificile.

None except sensitivity to any ingredient. The product is lactose-free and dairy-free.

DOSE

Take 1 capsule per day.

For antibiotic therapy take one per day and continue for one week afterwards.

For traveling take one per day. Best if started 2-3 days before the trip.

Infants and children can also take one per day. Contents may be stirred into a cool drink or baby food or applesauce.
